What Does LINCOLN Have in Store for the North American International Auto Show?

Lincoln is finding new and interesting ways to hint at the unveiling of future models every day. In the days leading up to the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, the luxury automaker snapped a few close ups of the front-end grille of what was later revealed to be the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. When officially revealing the vehicle, however, Lincoln displayed a still shot of another front end, which was clearly not the vehicle being displayed at the show.

Confused? Eager to learn more? That's what they were going for, as Lincoln Design Director, Max Wolff noted, "...we have more news in store for Lincoln, the first of which you'll see at the North American International Auto Show in January."1

Of course, there's plenty to talk and speculate about until then. The new front end ditches the vertical bars, this time sporting some horizontal ones. These lines are thinner than the previous 'waterfall grille' design and spread further apart. The grille features a clear split in the middle, where the Lincoln logo sits prominently.

While the previous design gave a more aggressive and dominant look, this new grille feels more aerodynamic and speedy. If we had to guess, we'd think that this design is for the company's mid-size entry, the Lincoln MKZ. We should note again, though, that this is only speculation and that the American automaker is keeping a very tight lid on details concerning next month's debut.

This means that in the end, there's only one way to find out what Lincoln has planned for sure, and that's to simply wait for January. You can rest assured, however, that Montgomery Motors, located at 214 South Main Street, Troy, NC, 27371, will be keeping a close eye on the details and updating you first when they arrive.
